Approximately one hundred and sixty papers will be presented at the Terra2026 World Congress in parallel sessions, and around one hundred posters will be showcased in the poster display area.
In addition, there will be approximately 60 presentations during group work sessions (workshops, panels, etc.).
More than 500 submissions have been received. The selection of the papers to be published will be carried out by the Organizing and Scientific Committees after blind reviews have been completed by the Scientific Committee.
Please keep in mind that oral and/or poster presentations will not be effective until the registration of at least one of the authors is confirmed to be present at the event.
Eventually, all the work presented, including the posters (with a specific, readable format) will be available electronically on the Terra Al Ain 2026 website.
The abstracts of the confirmed registered presentations will be compiled and published in the Book of Abstracts. Printouts will be distributed during the congress.
The papers presented in the congress will be compiled in a publication as Proceedings of Terra Al Ain 2026 Congress which will have its own ISBN under DCT publications. The requirements for the paper submission and the templates can be found in Terra2026 Webpage:
There will be a Special Issue in the Journal of Cultural Heritage Management and Sustainable Development by Emerald Publishing that covers the themes of Terra2026, under the title “Managing Change in Earthen Cultural Landscapes”. A maximum of eight papers will be selected to be included in this special issue, which will be chosen from the submissions to the Terra2026 World Congress, Al Ain. The authors of the selected papers will be informed and given extra time to work on their papers.
The posters should follow the design guidelines of the Terra Al Ain 2026; the template is provided. All posters following the guidelines and templates will be printed by Terra Al Ain 2026 Organizing Committee and placed in their designated locations in the venue, if sent before the deadline for submission of Digital Posters.
In case the digital format cannot be provided in time, authors will be responsible for printing and placing their own posters in their designated locations. Providing digital formats, along with the author’s permission, will allow us to share them on our website as digital posters.
